Multiple file deleter

Is there anything out there that allows you to delete multiple files from your desktop at one time? I was accidentally messin with somthin and created several thousand files and it would be nice to delete them more or less at once. You know like highlight and then right click delete? Btw ... when I say several thousand I mean several thousand. Only a small portion can be viewed and deleted at one time. Then I have to log off log on to get the nxt batch in view to delete. This is why im askin for a proggy.

You can delete them from the command line with a wildcard * if they are all txt files for instance.

Start > Run > CMD

cd C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop
del *.txt
